RIDING WITH ZIEL
Ziel’s community thrives with daily rides that push its athletes to be their very best. From intense anaerobic workouts on Tuesday’s and Thursday’s, base intensity workouts on Wednesday’s and Saturdays and nice and easy rides on Fridays and Sundays, Ziel caters to each and every level out there on the road.
Weekly Ride Breakdown
Each day is designed with intention — balancing effort, speed, recovery, and fun.
Monday – Rest Day
No ride. Recovery is part of the plan.
Tuesday – Sustained Hard Effort (S.H.E.)
3 laps in Key Biscayne (no Virginia Key). Teams push together at high speed, focused on maximizing pace and coordination.
📍 Meet at Key Biscayne Tolls – 6:30 AM
Wednesday – Sustained Moderate Effort (S.M.E.)
2 laps (excluding the bridge). A mid-tempo session riding two abreast, prioritizing group rhythm and steady endurance.
📍 Meet at Key Biscayne Tolls – 6:30 AM
Thursday – Sustained Fast Effort (S.F.E.)
Shorter intervals at top speed. Teams go all-out — the fastest ride of the week.
📍 Meet at Key Biscayne Tolls – 6:30 AM
Friday – Sustained Easy Effort (S.E.E.)
Riding 2 abreast, Ziel takes an easy approach to end the workweek and enjoy a coffee afterwards.
📍 Meet at Key Biscayne Tolls – 6:30 AM
Saturday – Mixed (S.M.E. → S.F.E.)
Longer ride starts steady, riding two abreast. Once the group splits, the pace picks up.
📍 6:30 AM from KB Tolls or 7:00 AM from Ziel
Sunday – Sustained Easy Effort
After Saturday’s ride, riders spin their legs and recharge for the following week.
📍 7:30 AM from KB Tolls or 8:00 AM from Ziel
