At ZIeL, we believe the best part of riding is the people you ride with. We’re proud of the community we’ve built through shared passion, respect, trust and genuine friendship. We lead multiple rides every week for cyclists of all levels. We hope you join us!
Tuesdays: Zone 2 ride, 3 laps in Key Biscayne. (Pedals up at 6:30 A.M, Key Biscayne toll)
Workout Description (36 Miles): Ride at an endurance pace, with pulls of one minute for each couple. The goal of this ride is to boost muscular endurance and aerobic fitness.
Wednesday: Women‘s only ride. (Pedals up at 6:30 A.M, Key Biscayne toll)
Workout description (26 Miles): 2 laps in Key Biscayne, first lap with no Virginia Key, second lap with Virginia Key. Goal pace is 21-24 mph steady. We will have a group staying in the front rotating at all times to accomplish this & stay as steady, organized, & safe as possible. Depending on who shows up we will establish who rotates and who prefers staying in the back, so we will have the same people rotating in the front. The goal of this ride is to achieve a balance between improving our fitness and acquiring valuable knowledge on proper cycling form and technique.
Thursday: 3 TTT intervals. (Pedals up at 6:30 A.M, Key Biscayne toll)
Workout description: Groups of 5-6 riders on a team time trial settings. With pulls between 20-30 seconds each rider. The goal of these intervals is to load your body with an abundance of lactate during the Pulls and then force it to deal with and process the lactate during the drafting when you will still be working at a relatively high intensity.
Friday: Coffee ride. (Pedals up at 6:30 A.M, Key Biscayne toll)
Workout Description: Ride at an endurance pace.
Saturday: Long ride Zone 2, 4-5 hours on the saddle. (Pedals up at 6:45 A.M, Key Biscayne toll)
Workout Description (35 Miles): Ride at an endurance pace with a short burst of speed for the ones that want to hammer while another group will keep the endurance pace. The goal of this ride is to boost muscular endurance, aerobic fitness, and lactate tolerance.
Sunday: Coffee Ride. (Pedals up at 7:30 A.M, Key Biscayne toll)
Workout Description (35 Miles): Recovery ride at an endurance pace. Zone 1-2.
