RIDING WITH ZIEL

At ZIeL, we believe the best part of riding is the people you ride with. We’re proud of the community we’ve built through shared passion, respect, trust and genuine friendship. We lead multiple rides every week for cyclists of all levels. We hope you join us!

Tuesdays (ZIeL members only): We will have two groups for our rides based on watts per kilogram. Group A will cater to riders with a range of 3.2-4 W/KG*NP, while Group B will be for those with a range of 2.5-3.2 W/KG*NP. During the ride, we will be single file for three laps without any VK segments. The goal is to average the specified watts per kilo in Normalized Power. (Pedals up at 6:30 A.M, Key Biscayne toll).

Wednesday (Women only ride): Around a 26 mile ride, 2 laps in Key Biscayne, first lap with no Virginia Key, second lap with Virginia Key. Goal pace is 21-24 mph steady. We will have a group staying in the front rotating at all times to accomplish this & stay as steady, organized, & safe as possible. Depending on who shows up we will establish who rotates and who prefers staying in the back, so we will have the same people rotating in the front. The goal of this ride is to achieve a balance between improving our fitness and acquiring valuable knowledge on proper cycling form and technique. (Pedals up at 6:30 A.M, Key Biscayne toll).

Thursdays (ZIeL members only): Our Time Trial Team (TTT) will be divided into several groups based on watts per kilogram as well. The groups will be as follows:

- 1-2.5 W/KG*NP
- 2.5-3.2 W/KG*NP
- 3.2-4 W/KG*NP
- 4-6 W/KG*NP

If you're unsure about your watts per kilogram, don't worry! We can assign you to a group that will for you based on our experience. We'll make sure to find the best fit for you. If you have any more questions or need further assistance, feel free to ask! (Pedals up at 6:30 A.M, Key Biscayne toll).

For those unfamiliar with Normalized Power, it is calculated using a complex algorithm that takes into account the variation between steady and fluctuating workouts. This value gives a better understanding of the physiological "cost" of the effort during variable workouts.

Friday: Coffee ride. Ride at an endurance pace. (Pedals up at 6:30 A.M, Key Biscayne toll).

Saturdays: We will have three different groups, each with their own average speed:

- Group A: 23-25 mph
- Group B: 21-23 mph
- Group B2: 21-23 mph

The reason behind having multiple groups is to ensure everyone gets a great workout in smaller, safer groups. (Pedals up at 6:30 A.M, Key Biscayne toll, 7:00 A.M at ZIeL)

Sunday: Coffee Ride. (Pedals up at 7:30 A.M, Key Biscayne toll, 8:00 A.M, at ZIeL Concept Store).

We look forward to seeing you all at our upcoming rides and training sessions!
